Crane Coloring Contest

CCCC sponsors the Crane Coloring Contest every year as a program to help raise “crane awareness” in the younger generation. Ages 3 to 18 are eligible to participate. The contest runs from March – August every year. Kids from across the world are encouraged to color, paint, and decorate the coloring page and return it to us to participate in the Crane Coloring Contest. The coloring pages are created by local Colorado artists.

The contest rules and coloring page will be available starting in March every year. Awards are given out at a special ceremony at the Bud Werner Memorial Library during the annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival in early September.

Click here for contest rules and click here to download and print the crane drawing which was designed by artist Sandi Poltorak. A contact email must be included on the back of your contest entry in order to be eligible for a prize.

The coloring page will also be available at the Bud Werner Children’s Library, Hayden Public Library, Oak Creek Public Library, and Craig Public Library during the summer. Kids can color, paint and decorate the drawing and return it to the Bud Werner Children’s Library, Hayden Public Library, Oak Creek Public Library, or Craig Public Library by August 15, 2022. Completed coloring pages can also be mailed to:
