A favorite part of our annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival is the Crane Coloring Contest for kids. Ages 3 to 18 are eligible to participate, along with adults from Horizons.

Nearly 150 kids colored, painted, and decorated the drawing and returned it to us to participate in the Crane Coloring Contest. 2024’s coloring page was designed by artist Megan Westercamp.

Awards were given out at a special ceremony at Bud Werner Memorial Library during the 13th annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival. Lyon’s Drug generously provided prizes for the coloring contest. All entries were displayed at Bud Werner Memorial Library during the festival and winners were displayed at Lyon’s Drug in Steamboat Springs until the end of September.
