4th of July – 2020

For many years Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition (“CCCC”) has participated in the annual Steamboat Springs 4th of July Parade. Our crane dancers have done a fantastic job of raising “crane awareness” among parade spectators and frequently have won the “Best Group” Award.

When the COVID virus threatened the 2020 4th of July Parade, the CCCC crane dancers did not bow in defeat. Instead, they created a video version of their performance (with masked cranes and proper social distancing) in a beautiful field on a lovely, sunny day, and are posting it here to share with all of you. We hope you enjoy it.

This year’s performance is set to David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”, since cranes are the best dancers in the animal kingdom!

Stay tuned for the Yampa Valley Crane Festival on September 3-6, 2020, when we will be posting more videos for your education and enjoyment.
