Crane Coloring Contest – 2021

A favorite part of our annual festival is the Crane Coloring Contest for kids. Ages 3 to 18 are eligible to participate.

Click here for contest rules and click here to download and print the crane drawing which was designed by artist Jill Bergman. A contact email must be included on the back of your contest entry in order to be eligible for a prize.

The coloring page will also be available at the Bud Werner Children’s library, Lyon’s Drug, or the Oak Creek Library during the summer. Kids can color, paint and decorate the drawing and return it to the Bud Werner Children’s Library, Lyon’s Drug, Crane Conservation Office at 141 9th Street, or the Oak Creek Library by August 15, 2021. Completed pictures can also be mailed to:

Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition
40625 County Road 69A
Hayden, CO 81639

Winners will be notified in late August and awards will be given out at a special ceremony at the Bud Werner Memorial Library during the Yampa Valley Crane Festival. Lyon’s Drug is generously providing prizes for the coloring contest. All contest entries will be displayed at the library throughout the four days of the festival, September 2 – 5, 2021.
